The Sonoff Dongle Max Zigbee/Thread PoE (Dongle-M) is a high-performance multi-protocol gateway that allows users to build and manage a local smart home network without relying on cloud services. Powered by an EFR32MG24 + ESP32 chipset combination, it supports Zigbee coordinator mode, Thread Radio Co-Processor (RCP) operation, and advanced integrations with platforms such as Home Assistant and Zigbee2MQTT. The Dongle Max can be connected using Ethernet with PoE, Wi-Fi, or USB-C, allowing it to be placed remotely for better wireless coverage. It includes a built-in web management interface for device status monitoring, firmware updates, configuration, and operating mode changes.
